They could have made that if you make a very difficult task you can make it out and save everybody. Far cry has always been about having good villain and protagonist relationship (which is why when 5 had a silent protagonist it kind of sucked) and an ending that always misses the mark. At least from far cry 3 onward, all the endings have been underwhelming to just bad. Far cry 6 was definitely one of the better ones but had the material to be The worst part is there different endings and every one is awful. 1: ignore the problem. 2: ignore the problem and kill all your friends. 3: actually deal with the problem and lose in a cut scene. Same with Far Cry 2. There is no “good” ending. I mean that in terms of outcome, not quality.
